Movac Supports Olympic hopeful at 1st European Games

Movac support archery Olympic hopeful Nicky Hunt as she is selected to represent Great Britain at the 1st European Games in Baku.

Movac Group Ltd, a leading UK independent distributor of paint and consumables in the automotive, wood and industrial markets, has continued their support of Olympian hopeful Nicky Hunt, as she prepares for her next competition at the 1st European Games in Baku in June.

Ipswich-born archery double gold medallist (2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games) Nicky Hunt has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Baku European Games. These games will be attended by over 6000 athletes from all over Europe and will give Nicky the opportunity to win ranking points on the road to Rio 2016 qualification.

Nicky Hunt's dream journey towards the Rio Olympics 2016 has been supported by Movac since 2011 and has enabled her to leave her physiotherapist job to be able to concentrate 100% on her archery training.

Commenting on her selection for the European Games, Nicky Hunt said: "Baku represents a great opportunity to shoot some great arrows and hopefully come away with a medal. It also gives me the opportunity to see what I am up against and what kind of challenge I will have to secure my Team GB place in Brazil next year. Movac's support for me over the last few years has made a significant difference to my training towards Rio 2016. With their support, events such as the European Games would have been unachievable."

Mark Smith, Managing Director of Movac Group, said: "We are 100% behind Nicky on her road to Rio and we will be rooting for her when she flies to Baku. Business sponsorship plays an important role in preparing athletes as there is only a finite amount of funding that each one can receive from UK Sports. In return, businesses like ours benefit in both inspiration and aspiration - learning how to compete effectively and striving to be the best that you can be, positive attributes that translate from sport to the business world."
