Click on the tab on the left of our website ‘Technical Hot Spot Library’ to view. HMG 102 Line 2K Polyurethane Topcoat is this month's new Hot Spot which is a fast drying 2K Polyurethane finish offering very good adhesion to a wide range of substrates including metal, wood and certain plastics.
Before application ensure surfaces to be coated are dry and cleaned using the appropriate HMG product to remove all traces of contaminants.
HMG Acrythane 102 Line is able to be applied by all types of spray equipment, brush and roller and is mixed at a ratio of 5:1 with HMG 9004 hardener.
It may be diluted with HMG 2602 thinner to achieve an application viscosity of 20-25 seconds B4 cup with a pot life of 4-8 hours dependant on temperature.
Applied to give a dry film thickness of 25-50 micron HMG Acrythane 102 Line flashes off in 5–10 minutes, is touch dry in 10–20 minutes, hard dry in 2–3 hours and fully cured after 7 days. The coating may also be force dried for 30 minutes at 70–90 °c.
HMG Acrythane 102 Line is used as a single product system but may also be applied onto HMG Epiprime epoxy primers if required. As a single product system it is able to be over coated after 3 hours at 20°c.
