Relief Branch Supervisor - Reading (RG41 2AN)

The applicant should have previous supervisory experience, possess a strong customer focus and have the ability to motivate and manage the performance of a team to ensure customers receive the best service.  This role offers responsibility across all aspects of trading operations. 

Overview

To be a strong team leader, taking responsibility for the day to day running of the Branch competently and efficiently in the absence of the Branch Supervisor.

Required Competency Levels

Understand and be able to carry out the various job roles within the Branch (after training).

Be computer literate.

Be passionate about delivering a first class customer experience.

Have demonstrable leadership skills.

Have demonstrable experience of working towards performance targets.

Be highly organised, always planning for any eventuality.

Be approachable, always keen to support and develop others.

Knowledge of the coatings trade would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Objectives

Identify the business needs on a day to day basis.

To promote sales via Driver Sales Representatives and Van Drivers.

To support Sales Representatives and Branch Staff, making good use of the company's sales and marketing tools.

Endeavour to always look to improve the Company's profits.

Ensure Branch is stocking the correct products for Branch sales.

Ensure stock takes are accurate.

Monitor and dispose of mixing shop waste.

Ensure all back orders are dealt with within 24 hours.

Promote a healthy team spirit and attitude amongst staff.

Maintain sales literature and keep information on the computer up to date.

Promote good housekeeping of premises.

Make sure all Branch Staff carry out their duties as per their job description.

Identify staff training needs and implement via Movac Sales Executives/Manufacturer Representatives and any other source available.

Carry out Branch meetings as required.

To ensure the Company's Health & Safety Policy is followed at all times.

Ensure there is good communication between Branch Staff, the Sales Team, Suppliers and Head Office.

Ensure the Staff Handbook is adhered to at all times.
