Henkel Technologies have recently launched a new product for the bodyshop market called QuickCheck.  Movac now stock this useful new product in a familiar 400ml Aerosol format. Teroson's QuickCheck is in simplistic terms a paint finish simulator. By replicating a high gloss paint finish, it allows the operative to check that the filler/primer work has been done to the standard expected before passing it on to the paint shop. By ensuring that the job is right at the early stages, QuickCheck is an invaluable tool that will dramatically reduce re-working of vehicles, thus saving £££'s every week. QuickCheck works by simply applying one single flowing coat to opacity, allowing it to settle for a second and then observing the job to see if there are any areas that aren't correct. QuickCheck highlights whether areas are straight, that any curvature is of the right sharpness, it shows up shrinkage and even distortion caused by some welding and highlights pinholes. It's great for highlighting damage on new panels and even at estimate stage is useful to identify any other areas of damage to the vehicle. The can will do in excess of 40 jobs (based on an area 450 x 300 mm) so in reality will be almost double that as operatives soon get the hang of assessing specific areas. The beauty of QuickCheck is that the operative can mark through the wet coating with a soft pencil, albeit firmly, and then in seconds it is removed by using a paint company's standard waterborne degreaser with an absorbent paper cloth.
